Okay, so now I am really mad with myself.
Finally the festive stuff has come and gone and I have worked up the courage to step back onto the scales and.......
ooohhh s#@t, I've put on 5 kilos.
Where the hell did that come from?
I knew it. When you start feeling bloated and the button hole on your favourite pair of jeans seems so much further away from the button, you know.
Now, what to do?
Go back to the start of this blog and re-read what I wrote about how I lost 14kg. Yep, that's what I'll do. Try and get my mind back into weightloss mode and start thinking thin, thin, thin.
Off to do some reading.
A place to find some helpful tips on weight loss. I think I have tried every weight loss tip out there, some work, some don't. Although I thing all work in some way, just some are better than others. This blog is about tips I have found that may help keep the weight off.

Diet No More
Ok, so it's that time of year again, making these stupid resolutions and promises that you really know that you won't keep. Mine is Diet No More.
Oh yer, HAPPY NEW YEAR, hope everyone behaved themselves, not.
Now, where was I, back to whinging about new year resolutions.
Every year we tell ourselves that this is the year,
I'm going to lose 10kg, I'm going to stop smoking, Give up drinking, Save more money, Get organised, Work less and so it goes.
Not this year, I have decided to diet no more. That's it. I have made the decision that I am not going to try and lose weight, I am just going to eat more healthier and walk more, not exercise, just walk further when shopping and a bit at night after dinner.
So that's it, nothing to difficult, just light exercise and sensible eating. So if I lose some weight in the meantime, that would be a bonus, I'm not going to say it (lose weight)because it will be a promise and I will no doubt break it.
So bring on the new year I say.

How To Stop Yourself Eating
Please, Please, Please if you know how let me know. The only way I can think of is, putting tape across my mouth.
Here it is that time of day again when the dreaded munchies hit. It is the same time everyday when I sit and fight with my inner self, my mind. It's like a recording that is played over and over in my head.
"Ohhh, what can I eat now?" Bent over, with my head in the fridge, door wide open.
"No, don't even go there. You don't need it."
The worst part about this is that I'm not even hungry. I have no hunger pains, not starving to death like some poor other person out there in the world, someone who really needs food desperately.
No, bored I would say and just a very bad habit that I have gotten into, one I need to break.
Pick, pick, pick thats all I seem to do. I try and tell myself its all healthy stuff but not all of it is, some, yes, and it's the amount, way too much stuff gets shoved into this big mouth.
So here I am writing this to take me away from the kitchen, to get away from the sight of the fridge and the pantry.
Is it working I hear you say.
Probably at this very moment, yes. It will be when I walk away from this computer that it will get tough, but I am telling myself that I need a big glass of water to kick things off.
That'll work

Massage and Detox For My Weight Loss
I was in heaven. Was this going to help my weight loss, probably not much.
It's my birthday this month so my mother gave me a voucher to a massage clinic. 2 and 1/2 hours of relaxation, just what I needed.
First I had an anti-aging facial, yer, I hear you, I probably needed that. My face felt smooth when finished and I felt so refreshed but of course this usually costs $95 and there ain't no way that I will pay that much to get my face done.
Next I had a massage, remedial. Only 1/2hr and could have been a lot deeper but it still felt so good.
Detox Foot Spa came next, this was very different, never ever heard of it before and very hard to believe.
An electric current travels through the water and some how the consultant can tell by the colour of the water what is happening in your body.
My water was very good, (unusual I thought), except that I had traces of metal in it. Don't ask me how the metal gets in the water but trully, it was there.
The young girl asked me if I smoked, "NO", did I eat a lot of can food, like tuna and "Yes" I had a bit of tuna over the last couple of weeks but I do not eat much canned food.
Producing a list of all the metals that could be found in our body, the young girl said these items can have metals in them.
This list was nearly three pages long and from what was on it, well, you would never eat food again, so you would starve to death. Now this is something that I won't be doing, starving.
After I got over that shock, I had a pedicure. Massage for my feet, loved this immensely. Always have liked my feet being rubbed.
Now the only complaint that I had was it was not 2 1/2 hrs of relaxation like the brochure said, it was only
1 1/2hrs. I probably could have had an hour massage, now that would have been nice.
Hey, don't get me wrong, I really did enjoy it all and really appreciated my present. It is something that I would never buy for myself, so
THANKYOU TO MY MUM FOR A WONDERFUL GIFT.

Dieting and Weight Loss Just Flew Out The Window
That's right, this whole week has just blown up in my face.
My dad just turned 70yrs old, so we had a big party. Suppose to have been a surprise but he had a pretty good idea what was going on.
We had the usual nibbles and of course the birthday cake, a huge round delicious MUDCAKE with PROFITTEROLES and chocolate shavings all on top.
Now how can you say "NO" to that.
On the night not so bad, had a small portion just like I've been telling you all to do throughout my blog, but there was nearly half left and we have been eating it for morning tea all week.
Here it is placed in front of me looking right at me saying "eat me"
At the time I feel like cookie monster and just gorge myself then I feel sick afterwards.
Its all gone now, so I'm back into diet mode flat out.

Herbs For Weight Loss
We all need a little help when it comes to losing weight
and eating herbs or spices just maybe the next big thing.
Some herbs can be stimulants which will encourage the body to burn those excess calories that we consume each day.
They can also be a Diuretic, these help the body to excrete water through urination.
Appetite suppressants which can help to reduce hunger by filling the stomach, changing ones mood or satisfying a taste or craving.
Here's a list of some herbs for weight loss:-
Alfalfa helps with water retention, high in protein, calcium and other minerals.
Cinnamon reduces cholesterol
Cayenne raises your metabolic rate, high in vitamin A, C, E and manganese,
Nettle tea is used to curb appetite and cravings, flax seed expands when digested
Parsley is a diuretic and can reduce hunger feelings,
Red pepper raises the metabolic rate which will help to burn calories, have a teaspoon of a hot spice with your meal.
(Have a read up on all these herbs before trying any).
These are just a few herbs that will help get rid of those unwanted kilos.
Fantastic, just what I need, something that doesn't take a lot of hard work.

Lose Weight by Taking Baby Steps
Weight Loss- what a dirty word.
I was reading a Weight Watchers magazine yesterday and came across this article about losing weight.
The tip was to take a step at a time.
Most people have to lose weight and a lot of it. 20 or 30kg, that's a huge amount when you look at it in the big picture. But look smaller, divide it up into smaller steps.
They suggested that if you had to lose 5kg then work at losing 1/2 a kilo a week. If 10 to 15kg, look at losing 5 kilos in 5 weeks. Lose the weight in small stages and it won't seem so daunting. Break up the amount of weight you want to lose and start from there.
Slow and steady wins the race.

Portion Size And Will Power The Key To Weightloss
Tell me you haven't ever thought about your weight. I'm sure ever new years eve we all make resolutions about losing weight or keeping fit and healthy and some of us only last a week and then back to old habits.
I'm going to tell you how I lost 13 kilos in four months.
Don't get me wrong, it was not easy. I still have bad days where I broke my diet but I get straight back into it the next day.
Exercise doesn't come easy to me, gyms are out and so is running. Walking is the only exercise that I do and I don't do it every day, when I'm feeling up to it.
Hope I gave you some great ideas and an incentive to succeed at losing weight.
31 Day Fat Loss Cure
weight loss
I'm going to tell you how I lost 13 kilos in four months.
- I STARTED WITH A FOOD DIARY: I wrote down everything I ate and drank for a week, from those lattes, to biscuits with a cuppa, chocolate bars that you bought at the cash register for the trip home. Everything that passed through my lips.
- I ANALYSED THE DIARY: I looked at things that I did not need, I could not believe that I actually ate that much food in a week. There was so much that could be deducted from my diet. I was eating because I was bored most of the time and picking.
- WORKED OUT WHAT SHOULD GO: I deducted potato, cheese and sugar from my diet. Anything that had sugar, cakes, biscuits, chips.lollies and chocolates. Cereals that contained alot of sugar and white bread. I actually cut out all bread for the first month then gradually brought it back eating wholemeal or grain, checking out sugar content first. Caffeine was another item that needed to go. Not that I drank alot of coffee but I read that it helped give cravings.
- SIX SMALL MEALS A DAY: Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper. This is how I tried to discipline what I ate, sticking to these meal times.
- MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT I DID: Reduce my portion sizes. I choose the smallest dinner plate I had and used it for all my main meals. Because it was smaller it looked full and gave me a sense of feeling satisfied. NOT FULL.
- WEIGHING MYSELF: Now I know they say not to weigh yourself every day, but I found this to help keep me on track. I noticed a pattern and what to expect during different times of the month. For me this worked.
- DRINKING WATER: I never have liked drinking water but I made myself drink 6-8 glasses of it every day. Sometimes I would use diet cordial to give it a bit of flavour.
- VITAMIN REPLACEMENT: I take multi vitamin tablets religiously now. I feel good and have had no illnesses in the last six months.
- WILL POWER, WILL POWER, WILL POWER: Psych yourself up, get a picture of you at your worst and place it on the fridge. Have a picture of a really nice dress that you would like in a smaller size, put it next to the other picture. When you go to the fridge this will encourage you to succeed.
Don't get me wrong, it was not easy. I still have bad days where I broke my diet but I get straight back into it the next day.
Exercise doesn't come easy to me, gyms are out and so is running. Walking is the only exercise that I do and I don't do it every day, when I'm feeling up to it.
